Paris

I recently returned from living in Paris where I was writing a guide book for young women.

I have visited this incredible city several times throughout my life, and lived in Paris for a year when I was eighteen working as an au pair (a full-time nanny).  The city has become a second home to me, and I want to share as much of it as I can with my readers.

So many young women dream of visiting Paris, and I fully support following your dreams.  The city has a lot to offer beyond it’s tourist spots and landmarks, and I want to encourage travelers to explore the city’s true underbelly as much as possible.  From the small boutiques, heavenly pastry shops,  enchanting parks and ethnic neighborhoods, the city is a feast for the senses and I recommend having the appetizer, the main course and dessert.

Here is some useful information if you are visiting the city or want to work as an au pair:

I came to the conclusion that I must really be French, only no one had ever informed me of this fact. I loved the people, the food, the lay of the land, the civilized atmosphere, and the generous pace of life.” -Julia Child
