The Gentlewoman Goes to Paris

What a weekend. Just as Berlin started to wear me down, I packed my bags and headed to Paris with one of my best friends.

I went with the main purpose of filming a pilot.  I can't wait to share more with you.  If you like the blog, you'll enjoy where we're going with this.  It is full of travel, food, fun, and maybe even a little quest for love.

The weekend was a whirlwind and I did a lot of things Parisians do - eat, drink, smoke and have heated conversations about anything and everything.

I'll share more soon - like a three course brunch at Noglu, wine and dinner at Verjus with this dime, and a stop at my favourite shop in Boulogne.

Paris really felt like home this time.  While zipping around the city with my photographer and co-pilot for the project I had the same feeling I used to get when I'd come home to Vancouver for Christmas.  I know the streets like the back of my hand, have a firm grasp on the language, and a ton of people who are close to my heart.

Some of the best moments were spent with my Turkish family and dear friend- eating home cooked meals, dancing in the kitchen, talking into the early morning hours.  I had many moments where I thought: it doesn't get better than this.  I am surrounded by people I care about who love and support me.

The weekend brought out a lot of emotions.  I've been working towards having a show for so many years - and now - when my life is a mess, the opportunity is here again.

Mess or no mess, I realize how lucky I am.  I am building on my dreams, and thanks to Paris, I know that I still have places where I can lay my head down and feel like I belong.
