December Fit Focus: The End

Looks like we made it.

Over the past 7 weeks I committed myself to focusing on my fitness: heading to the gym in every weather on dark winter mornings, lifting weights out of my comfort zone, doing squats until I felt like I may never walk again, and fuelling up on a healthy diet with lots of lean protein.

I improved my fitness, shed a little extra weight at a very healthy rate and gained muscle and strength.

When I started this challenge in October I had already come a long way.  I had been making changes since August and was feeling stronger than ever.  Now that we're in December, I'm happy to say that my progress is continuing and that I'm on the right track.

There have been no quick fixes in my progress, no detoxes, and no obsessions over pounds lost.  Instead I focused on doing what was best for me, and working towards a better, stronger self.

I indulged when I wanted to, and always sought balance knowing I'm in it for the long haul.

As we enter the holiday season my goal is to stay very active, maintain my progress, enjoy some wonderful holiday treats in moderation and enter the new year armed with new goals.

Seeing what I'm capable of physically has translated to all areas of my life.  I can see how much I can accomplish when I focus on the goal at hand and believe in myself.
